The Stink, Sweat and Aches, 10 Unfortunate but Unavoidable Side Effects of Exercising.
For a long time now, we have considered exercising to be the solution for our happiness. But there are two sides on every coin. Have you ever looked at exercise from a different standpoint? Have you thought of all the unpleasant things you have to deal with such as the stink, sweat and aches? But what else makes you think twice about working out? Read on and find out the other realities of exercising that no one really talks about.
Don’t worry; this article does not intend to make you a couch potato. We are also offering solutions to the underestimated problems you more often than not will come across.
1. I Might as well be a Sweat Manufacturing Plant
You need to find out the components of the antiperspirants. Also don’t beat yourself up too much about the odour. Everybody has it anyway! So learn to sweat the right way. Get the right workout clothes, stay hydrated and let your sweat motivate you (it obviously says you’re actually burning calories).
2. Is That a Mop on Your Head?
You work so hard at the gym trying to look good, but your hair lets you down. So as you wind up your workout, your head is a clingy mess. You wish your personal care could be hassle-free. There are several ways you could prevent this. You could consider using gentle ribbon hair ties instead of elastic bands, and using a sweatband. There are also scarves available that absorb sweat and keep the hair dry Try some of these out Gentle Hair Ties (by Krenz Laurenz) or Dri Sweat Women’s Headband
3. Be as Hairless as a Billiard Ball
Don’t worry, this is not with reference to the mass of hair on your head. You may be familiar with a scenario where you do not shave your armpits, go to the gym and then it finally dawns on you: “Oh no! I was supposed to work on my arms! How am I supposed to do that with a jungle in my pits?” And so you skip the workout. You need to shave your armpits and legs pretty much every time you get dressed in your exercise gear. However, if you’re comfortable with your hair, then feel free.
4. My Phone or MP3 Player is Sweating too!
Are you one of those people who didn’t know your palms could get soaked, up until the day you decided to start your morning run? Isn’t it irritating how you seem to get your electronics sticky and wet with sweat? You hate it but you feel you have no choice. You cannot endure a run without music and you need to check the time.
The solution for this actually so simple you’ll wonder why you haven’t done it, just buy yourself a waterproof armband? Just that and your electronics will thank you.
5. Oh No! Looks Like it’s Going to Rain!
When you are committed to an outdoor workout routine, you always have to consider what the weather looks like. Most of the time, you have to roll with the punches and at the same time worry about getting sick running in the rain.Don’t be concerned about that yet. Whether it’s hot or cold, raining or snowing, as long as you take proper precautions, you’ll be fine.
6. I Have Shoes That Feel Like Weapons of Mass Affliction
Your selfies with your friends show you laughing and having a good time. You look fabulous and exceedingly happy. But what people can’t see from your pictures is how much you’re in agony. Your skyscraper heels are doing a number on you and your feet are screaming for help. You ignore your discomfort; ergo you’re left with bunions, pinched nerves, or inflammation. Doesn’t all that sound pretty sexy and fabulous? With all that going on with your feet, how do you expect to work out?
7. Airing my Dirty Laundry? No!
The thought of the possibility of airing your dirty laundry, literally, is reason for you to think twice about keeping up with your workout routine. Sure, as Laurence J. Peter once said, it’s better to have been loved and lost than to have to do forty pounds of laundry a week; but do you really have a choice? It’s not debatable. You need to constantly do your laundry. If you’re willing to wear clammy underwear and clothes, then don’t wonder why people are avoiding you. You smell as a bad as the breath of a vulture!
You could consider a few tricks that will help keep your clothes fresher. For instance, you could use white vinegar instead of fabric-softener to soften your clothes and get rid of any foul-smells from your clothes. You could also try mixing a little baking powder with your detergent. It adds a real nice twist to how fresh your clothes will feel.
8. Is it Morning Yet? Damn! It is!
Research provides a consolation though. It’s much easier to have a morning workout routine. Can you imagine having to jog after work! Talk about energy more than well spent! You will be exhausted. So the next time you’re hesitant about leaving your soft bed, think of yourself running after a tiring day at work.
9. My Stomach’s on a Hogging Rampage
Every time you work out, your stomach turns into a wolf, a really hungry wolf! In fact, if it had a life of its own, it would turn into a werewolf with every workout. Burning those calories is most definitely hard, there’s a reason they call it a work out! Whenever you work hard, the normal reaction is to feel extremely hungry.
You need to eat right after exercising. There are a lot of snacks you can extinguish the hunger with such as low-fat chocolate milk, a protein bar, protein shakes, the list is endless, just make sure its healthy and full of protein!
10. Word of the Day: Ouch!
Your muscles have been so sore you walk around thinking “Ouch! That hurts!” most of the time. “Is it even worth it?” It’s a normal and common result due to the process of muscles rebuilding. Find ways to end your misery. You could use the conventional means such as placing ice on the sore area. You could also try to lessen the workout that is affecting the areas that hurt. That would help your body rest and heal rapidly. Tiger Balm pain relieving cream has always been a winner for me. After I get home from my workout, have a warm shower, I rub it straight on my muscles and it heats my muscles up. I find that my muscles can recover quicker the next day. Try it: Tiger Balm Pain Relieving Cream

All the issues holding you back from committing to improving your health can be solved. Make the effort of prioritizing your health and fitness, you will not only see a transformation, you will feel it too.
If you feel overwhelmed by all these factors as we all do some time or another, just remember that’s its better to squeeze in a 20 minute workout than to do nothing at all…Just remember that the worst workout is the one that you don’t do.
